Maria Villamide participated as guest speaker in the panel discussion opening the “Real Estate Summit” organized by Forbes Uruguay. The event took place on January 16th and at the Grand Center in Punta del Este.

Our Director Maria VIllamide participated as guest speaker in an online panel discussion about the implications of coronavirus for the real estate industry. The webinar took place on April 16th and was organized by FIABCI.

On September 27-28 our Director, Julio Villamide, participated as a moderator in PropTech event, organized by the real estate website Infocasas, where developers, investors, professionals and industry experts met. The appointment was in Kibón Avanza, where the PropTech Conferences and the Real Estate Exhibition with the best real estate projects in the country took place.

Our company represented Mariana Píriz and Álvaro Moré, partners of WPP in Uruguay, in the signing of a long-term lease agreement with Punta Carretas Tower. Their aim was to gather nine of the companies which they represent in Uruguay in two floors of the office tower. WPP is the largest advertising agency group in the world involving communications, advertising, public relations, and other businesses.

The conference was held on Wednesday, March 22 at APPCU (Br. España 2122, Montevideo). Our Director, Julio Villamide, adressed how ongoing uncertainties from the authorities were affecting the residential sector in general and new production sales in particular. The conference was organized by APPCU and supported by Diario EL PAIS.

The event was held on Friday, November 18 at Hilton Garden Inn (WTC), Montevideo. Julio Villamide (CEO, JVA) and Guillaume Sainpy (Investment Manager, JVA) will be among the speakers alongside several experts in the field:Fernando Sciarrotta (Grupo 4S), Federico Gagliardo (Vitrium Capital), Daniel Porcaro (ORT), Pablo Buela (prop.com.uy), Diego Vázquez (PWC) and Jonathan Szwarcman (Mercado Libre).

JVA recently acted as advisor representing DHL in the sale of their commercial premises in Montevideo's CBD, located in the Old Town. This was one of several mandates that the company has committed to our Corporate Solutions team in recent years. The transaction was conducted with the participation of local brokers.

The conference was held on Friday, April 8 at Sofitel Carrasco, Montevideo. Our Director, Julio Villamide was one of the speakers alongside Daniel Tabakman from Argentina and Carlos Steneri from Uruguay. Mauricio Almada from Radio El Espectador moderated the event. The conference was organized by the French Chamber of Commerce in Montevideo (CCFM).

Guillaume Sainpy, head of Corporate Solutions & Investment Manager at JVA participated at the Alternative Investment Instruments and Property Financing Seminar to be held at ORT University in Pocitos (Montevideo) on Wednesday, November 18. Among the topics discussed: the evolution of property financing and investment in Uruguay, financing alternatives, project financing for local pension funds (AFAP) as well as the experience of some private investors.
