JULIO C. VILLAMIDE

Founding Partner & Managing Director (CEO)

With more than 40 years experience in the real estate field, Julio Villamide has been leading JVA since 1975. He was responsible for the company´s transition from a family business into one of the most reknown real estate advisory and consultancy firms in the country.

Founder and editor of Propiedades, a leading magazine and a reference for the property industry, he has long had a leading role in all real estate related matters for the government, institutions and the media.

Julio Villamide was founder and first president of CIU (Uruguayan Chamber of Realtors) and founder of the Uruguayan chapter of FIABCI (Federation Internationale des Conseils Administrateurs of Biens et Agents Immobiliers), an international organization where he served as vice-president between 1996 and 1998. Advisor to various chambers of commerce, as well as to a large number of public and private institutions, he has also been responsible for the success of many real estate investment projects.

His interest and concern regarding all real estate related matters led him to contact the prestigious Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and to create the ISU (Urban Land Institute), a local institution aimed at the resolution of urban/social issues, such as those related to the growth of informal settlements in city outskirts, following the 2002 economic crisis.

In 2008, Julio Villamide was selected as one of the 100 most influential people of the country by newspaper El Observador from Uruguay.

MARIA VILLAMIDE, MSc

Managing Partner

Architect with a Master´s degree in Real Estate Management from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Maria focused her academic research in the field of Corporate Real Estate. Maria has more than 10 years of experience in market research, property valuations and brokerage in Europe and Latin America, as well as several years experience in the analysis of private and public property funds, following her position as fund analyst in Sweden at MSCI Real Estate (Ex IPD).

GUILLAUME SAINPY, MRICS

Investment Manager

Responsible for structuring investment projects for local and foreign clients, Guillaume is also in charge of providing real estate advice to client companies through our Corporate Solutions unit. His professional expertise is backed by more than 10 years in the real estate investment field in Europe, where he structured numerous projects for developers, institutional and private investors in the commercial, logistics and industrial sectors. Guillaume is a member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), which guarantees high technical and ethical standards in the real estate sector, and holds a Master's degree in Multinational Business Management from the University of Deusto, Spain.
